Ever wonderded where do plastic. vinyl, metal, paper, wood, rubber, automobile parts, e-waste and fabric go? well all become environmental and health hazards. Mercury. Lead, Cadmium, Polybrominated Flame Retardants, Barium and Lithium are some of the taxins they produce that ultimately comes back to us. If we join the dots its evident that a simple act of reusing waste can save our lives.
Less than a tenth of all plastic produced globally is recycled.
A vast majority of the rest is dumped in landfills and in the oceans.
Small plastic pieces of less than 5 mm size or microplastics, are
major ocean pollutants.
They are ingested by aquatic micro organisms. which then get into
the food chain. Ultimately. this plastic comes back in the food we eat.
